Oy Valkoinen Risti – Vita Korset Ab started manufacturing Vitalis waterless cream in 1936. Vitalis was once the largest purely domestic cosmetic product.
Vitalis' history includes various turning points.
The war brought difficulties and the supply of packaging materials for Vitalis became difficult: when the tin boxes ran out, Vitalis was packed in black bakelite boxes. In this way, it was possible to guarantee the availability of the product despite the difficult times.

In the best years, almost 700,000 cases of Vitalis were sold in Finland per year.
In 1965, White Cross products began to be exported to many countries, but mainly to the Nordic countries. Vitalis was one of these and it was known in Sweden and Iceland as Vitagold.
By 1966, 10 million had already been exceeded. box border.
By 1985, more than twenty million packages had already been sold, and it has been Finland's best-selling waterless skin cream for decades.

Vitalis has developed with the times. In the beginning, Vitalis consisted of nine different components. Today, Vitalis consists of approx. 20 different raw materials. Vitalis contains several natural waxes and oils, e.g. beeswax and lanolin. It is a breathable waterless cream where water has been replaced with glycerol. Although Vitalis is known as an outdoor cream that protects the face from wind and cold, it can also be used e.g. as a lip balm, it is also ideal for cuticles and rough heels for both sunburned and frostbitten skin. It is also used to treat various rashes, from baby to adult. It is a high-quality domestic product.

The appearance and size of the packaging has gone through many changes. Vitalista is packaged in small 25 ml boxes, and the largest package was a 500 g jar. However, the most famous box is probably the 50 ml tin box in which it can still be found today.
The Vitalis logo has also changed over time from a diamond shape to an oval. All changes have been made with care and respecting the original colors and the original design of the box.

Vitalis waterless also got a whole product family around it, which includes Vitalis base cream, Vitalis vaseline and Vitalis lip cream.
